I walked into the room of a surgical patient who had no idea what Reiki was, but was definitely in the depths of a pain experience having had most of his stomach removed and parts of other organs as well to rectify multiple oozing ulcers.
I would say he was in his 20s. He mentioned having a girl friend, and working on an assembly line building fireplaces. He had been doing quite well while he was on the pain pump which was delivering narcotics at regular intervals, but he had been on that for 3 days and needed to be weaned so he could return home.
I asked him how the ulcers began. He said he got a shooting pain driving home from work one day. He endured 3 days of pain until he went into the emergency room and they sent him in for surgery to deal with the ulcer. Acid was eating his organs.
I explained the treatment and told him to go to a place where he is happy. For him it was fishing and the mention of fishing brought a smile to his face. I began. I could feel energy transfer, but there was nothing to observe except for the occasional twitch of his hand. I could tell he was getting used to the energy being offered. His breathing changed to a deeper breath into his chest. I stayed at his hand for a bit. It was rather stiff and the palm was faced down. The energy was definitely moving both hands now.
I got to his knee on the left and a woman's face appeared with black bob curling up. She seemed to be protecting her position but I recognized her as an intruder and told her to leave. Archangel Michael assisted her back to her place away from the resting surgical patient. Immediately I felt a wash of motherly energy surrounding him. His body glowed with a ring of light.
I moved around to the other ankle and had a moment myself. You can't help but feel the Love transferring into the patient and I realized that Love was also coming from me. I was crouched low with one hand on his foot and one on his ankle and I saw covering my back dark gray wings. I cried. His body became fully lighted, not just the perimeter. He continued to be in a sleep state with movement in his hands from time to time and the deep breath.
At the end I stood with hands facing him gathering any last energy that he wanted to discard and I could see myself as a tree pulling what was no longer needed down to the roots and out of his energy field.
I closed the session, removed my gloves and waited a few minutes to see if he would wake up. He didn't so I returned to the nurses' station to write up his session for him. The last words to him were 'There is nothing to fear.'
Blessings to you Dear One. <3 EE
